In July 2013 I spent 5 weeks camping and travelling a small part of the Kimberley by four wheel drive and boat. As well as the usual sketchbooks, I took some A3 sized canvas, pastels and medium. I was totally unprepared for the landscape and the light. It does not matter how many travel photos you look at, nothing beats immersion.
These are a selection of the small canvas works, which hopefully will form the nucleus of an exhibition. (Click on an image to start slideshow)

These are wonderful, Stuart. While I am familiar with your treescapes (and indeed own a couple!), I haven’t before seen your work with rocks. The coastal and cliff images are just breathtaking. Looking forward to the exhibition. Keep me posted!
What a feast for the eyes! Fabulous, Stuart.
I love the Boabs, so like the Baobabs in Africa.
